HASTINGS NEWS
Words of Praise for Hastings News The
News reads extraordinarily well and is completely professional. . . . The only caution I can offer is that
you're setting a standard that may be hard to sustain,. . . --from a Hastings village official ö Hi,
Jeff--It sounds like you're doing a newspaper. If this is true, it's very good news. Many of us have been
hoping for some time that an alternative to Rivertowns would appear. Please sign me up, I would gladly
take the money I give for my Rivertowns subscription and hand it over to you. ö Congratulations, Jeff. Nice job. Will you be taking ads? I am interested in a small
website ad. ö Damn, that's solid work! We have got
to figure out a way to advertise your newsletter more broadly: it's just too useful. Thank you. ö Thanks for a great piece. I really
appreciate the thoroughness of your work. ö What a super job you are doing with this. This last piece on the ZBA is amazing. ö Jeff, just wanted to thank you for your effort in
bringing this publication to us. i read it in its entirety this morning and found your coverage of the Affordable Housing
Project to be especially enlightening -- especially for someone who is relatively ignorant of the issue. if there is some
further way for me to show my support of your publication, please do let me know. ö Thank you very much for sending me your latest news. Hastings News is a fabulous publication -- I learned
alot and found your reporting to be very objective and interesting. Keep up the great work. I hope that
every Hastings resident who has e mail access, subscribes to your publication. --Paul Feiner, Greenburgh Town Supervisor ö Great information . Thank you. Please add my wife's
email to your mailing address.. She has given her OK. ö This is the best write up of the Real Estate market that I have ever read in a newspaper! Think
about making it a regular annual feature. I, for one, would look forward to it. ö Thank you so much for forwarding your newsletters to me.
I shall stop buying the Enterprise which is so full of trivia and look forwarding to receiving your wonderful and informative
newsletters. ö Thanks for
headlining the Hastings News with this important issue [concerning racial intolerance], and bracketing it by Russell's and
Adams' letters. I hadn't heard about this until your e-mail, and will follow the story with great interest. Thanks
again. ö There is
more substance in your newsletter today (and probably more words!) than in any issue of the Enterprise. We
have to work to get this into the hands of as many people as we can. ö By the way, I have sent you a small check.
Even if everyone paid you what I did, it still wouldn't cover the time you clearly spend on this. The
work on the school budget was extraordinarily useful: just when my blood is beginning to boil over the
amount (that percent increase means hundred and hundreds of dollars...), you explain it in enough detail so that I could make
an informed decision. ö Thanks so much. A check will be in the mail shortly (really! that was great reporting on the pool turnaround).
Also, I'd like a previous issue, if possible (Jan. 23, 2004). ö Your newsletter is terrific, wish we had someone like
you in Dobbs Ferry! ö Thank you for this fair reporting of the issue.
As I said when we spoke, I appreciate your sensitivity in reporting this story. --Father Fernan ö Fabulous job as usual with the Hastings News! hard to imagine
how anyone could possibly keep us better informed. i truly appreciate all the intensive data and graphics -- there's no other
way i would be able to stay so closely on top of what's happening. thank you for providing this valuable community service. ö Nice newsletter Jeff. Balanced and well done. ö Is there an amount of $$ that I can pay for the privilege to receive your fine newsletter?
I would be happy to pay it. ö This
is a fabulous service and I have been meaning to let you know how much I appreciate getting news about our village.
We long ago let our subscription lapse to the Enterprise and this is such a welcome relief. ö Fantastic
what a warm response you're getting about the News -- that is just great! You should be very proud of it;
it's really excellent, just keeps on getting better and better. ö . . . like your publication very much. It certainly
has information not readily available elsewhere. The presentation is fine and easy to read. Is it
possible to get back issues? ö You've outdone yourself, again! The
4/4/03 issue is so full of valuable info, schedules, explanation and discussion. What would Hastings be like if EVERYONE had
access to your reports? and maybe, for the past 25 years? ö I really liked the two issues of Hastings News I saw at the library. Don't know if anyone
on the staff has contacted you yet, but we'd like to have two complete hard-copy sets -- one for the periodical section, and
one for the Local History Room, which should be operational soon. ö Hello, pls add my neighbor to your list.
Love your site and think it's essential to informing oneself in this town. ö The newsletter is a vital link to keeping up with and understanding
all the happenings in Hastings. ö I live in Irvington and believe the residents could be better informed. Please, add my email
address to your Hastings News subscribers. ö
